In collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Prajwala organised a first-of-its-kind national consultation on Countering Cyber-Enabled Human Trafficking in Vijayawada.

The consultation marked the release of India’s first action research on Cyber-Enabled Human Trafficking, led by Ms. Krishnan with the support of committed domain experts and guided by senior law enforcement leadership.

After 10 months of rigorous work, the report was released by the Hon’ble Home Minister and the Hon’ble Minister for Women & Child Welfare of Andhra Pradesh, in the presence of senior government officials, police leadership, and international representatives.

A key outcome of this solution-driven research is a draft National Plan of Action to combat Cyber-Enabled Human Trafficking, based on insights from 365 police officers and Prajwala’s decoy investigations. Delegates from 27 States and Union Territories enriched the draft during the consultation, which will soon be presented to the Government of India for consideration.
