In a landmark judgment, the Hon’ble Nampally Court has convicted six traffickers, sentencing them to life imprisonment in a first-of-its-kind cross-border trafficking case.
This case stemmed from a joint rescue operation by the National Investigation Agency and Prajwala in 2019, during which five Bangladeshi victims were rescued in Hyderabad. Team Prajwala played a critical role as key witnesses and was instrumental in the rehabilitation and safe repatriation of the survivors to Bangladesh.
After five years, the case has finally reached closure with this significant and encouraging judgment.
