Prajwala hosted over 200 IPS officer trainees, comprising four batches of more than 50 each, from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad.

These visits, held over four consecutive days (July 10th, 11th, 14th, and 15th), were part of the trainees’ basic course curriculum and aimed to provide in-depth insights into sex trafficking and a victim-centred approach to rehabilitation.

The officer trainees received a comprehensive overview of Prajwala’s holistic model for combating sex trafficking, encompassing Prevention, Rescue, Rehabilitation, Reintegration, and Advocacy, along with an understanding of the significant impact achieved over the past three decades.

Each day concluded with an interactive session with Prajwala’s Founder, Padmashri Dr. Sunitha Krishnan, who highlighted operational and mission-level challenges, traced the growth of Prajwala’s work, and underscored the critical role of police officers in preventing and combating human trafficking.

Prajwala extends its best wishes to the officer trainees for a successful and impactful career in the Indian Police Service.
